Operation Hulkout: Day 706 10/10, Phase IV, Day 17 It's scary how quickly 3 months passed by, and here I am done with another round of the 10/10 Transformation and 10lbs. lighter than when I started. While this wasn't the intended goal, it's a more desirable result than from the last time I did the program, and as with 30DWW, I may do it all over again next year. I'll be taking it easy for the next few days to rest while I figure out what to do next. Thing is, I don't quite feel the need to get bigger again anytime soon since it took me so much effort to lean down in the first place. Operation Hulkout: Day 705 10/10, Phase IV, Day 16 Since I didn't feel up to leaving the house early this morning due to a slight case of burn out, I pushed to lunchtime today's high-rep workout (whee), and one of the things that kept me from skipping a set or two was knowing that I only had one more workout to do before I was done with the program. It's not the best kind of motivation, but at least it got me through. Operation Hulkout: Day 704 10/10, Phase IV, Day 15 The weight dip belt I bought last year has been one of my better investments at the gym. The ab wheel is another. On the flip side, I've bought stuff I hardly ever used like a neck harness and a pair of deadlifting hook straps. Operation Hulkout: Day 703 10/10, Phase IV, Day 13 And wouldn't you know it, I lost a little more weight this week. I suppose it's just as well since this gives me a big buffer to stay within the 75kg weight class if and when I start training powerlifting-style again. Operation Hulkout: Day 702 10/10, Phase IV, Day 12 Part of me is wary about putting on weight again. Dunno how I'm going to deal with that. Operation Hulkout: Day 701 10/10, Phase IV, Day 10 I'll fill this out when I wake up. Time for bed. Operation Hulkout: Day 700 10/10, Phase IV, Day 9 I'm already halfway through this last phase, and I... wait a minute... haven't I said this already? Unfortunately, I really have no idea what to do after I'm done with this iteration of 10/10. I haven't gone around shopping for a new program, and I'm not sure whether to keep up the intensity of my workouts or pull back a bit and stick with the fat loss for a little longer. I'm only 10lbs. away from the 67.5kg weight class, but something's telling me I'd be a lot weaker there than if I stayed under 75kg. Oh well, I've got until the end of the month to decide, and hopefully by then, I would have come up with something to celebrate today's milestone as well. Operation Hulkout: Day 699 10/10, Phase IV, Day 8 Every once in a while, I get so engrossed in working on a project that I end up missing some meals and sleeping a bit less, and I'm in the middle of one such project now. Fortunately, it hasn't affected my workouts that much (yet), but I have been losing weight instead of gaining in what's supposed to be a Hypertrophy phase. Normally I'd be happy about going below 158lbs. last Saturday, which put me 50lbs. lighter than my heaviest recorded weight of 208, but I'm not sure whether I lost some muscle mass rather than just fat to achieve this milestone. Operation Hulkout: Day 698 10/10, Phase IV, Day 6 Coming home late last night, I so didn't feel like going to the gym this morning, and the thought of doing more high-rep exercises wasn't the kind of incentive I was after. Even after I bribed myself with a taxi ride to the gym, when I got there, I still took my time before taking that first rep. Operation Hulkout: Day 69710/10, Phase IV, Day 5 Took things relatively easy today, but at least I'm confident I can start pushing up some of my poundages next week even if it's a little as 5lbs. Operation Hulkout: Day 696 10/10, Phase IV, Day 3 Based on how heavy I've been lifting, I've more or less maintained my strength levels from last year despite being 40lbs. lighter, with one major exception, the Barbell shoulder presses. I worked on a lot more on my core strength when I was doing Squats and Deadlifts (S&Ds) regularly, which around 4 months ago, and this is a different kind of core strength from what I've been working on lately, the one that kicks in when I do leg lifts and unilateral exercises, and my waistline benefited from it. I have a feeling that if ever I start up on the S&Ds again and go back to powerlifting, I can say goodbye to my abs. Operation Hulkout: Day 695 10/10, Phase IV, Day 2 It's bad enough I hate high reps, switching to 1-armed push-ups in Phase II made things worse since the workload was doubled, but as I've observed and read about before, one needs to do the stuff they hate in order to get better. Operation Hulkout: Day 694 10/10, Phase IV, Day 1 The weights I did today were slightly lighter compared to when I wrapped up Phase II to compensate for the extra rep, and I think I might continue the trend for the next couple of days as I feel my way into this last 10/10 Phase. Operation Hulkout: Day 693 10/10, Phase III, Day 20 Too bad when I weighed in at 158lbs. in yesterday after my workout, it was most likely due to dehydration considering I was 162lbs. three days prior, but at least for a few days I'll be below 160 the first since, I dunno, high school? Also, I have to say, this Unilateral phase this time around wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Operation Hulkout: Day 692 10/10, Phase III, Day 17 My motivation was noticeably lacking yesterday in this phase's penultimate workout, and so I took things one set at a time until I was finally done and resolved to take Thursday off again rather than Saturday to rest up. Even though deviating from the program may not give me the best bang for the buck from my workout, it's better for my morale.
